Pompoms and Fowers

Hello friends

Is it windy where you are? It is here.

I've just finished these two blankets for my toddler nephew and baby niece. They're in that Pompom yarn. They are finished off with some hairy, eyelashy type yarn. I've two little hats to make now for my baby niece. Will show and tell when finished.

And what about these flowers?

I was asked to make these by a lady at the Thursday craft club. She thought they were crocheted (turned out to be knitted) and is going to attach them to a baby cardigan she has knitted.
They are a bit fiddly, as they  are small, but so easy to make. I might make some more and add them to the baby hats. They will be so cute.

I need to get my bag ready for craft club and meeting my mum.

Thanks for dropping by it was nice to see you again, have a nice day.

  1. What unusual yarn - the pink and white look like marshmallows stacked together. The cover should be warm and cosy. It's raining here now.

  2. Your blankets are fab, I have some of that pompom yarn and have no idea how to knit or crochet it!!

I love knitting and crocheting flowers, it is addictive once you start though :)

    1. Hi Alison.
I'm not sure that the pompoms will crochet but it is so easy to knit with. You knee to cast on with two kneedles and then cast on one stitch between each bobble until you have the required number (gives a more stretchy edge). Every row after the cast on row you knit two stitches between each bobble. Some people make it into a scarf. give it a go if you get stuck give me a shout and I will try to help.
I want to make more the flowers and different ones.
