DVLA, Menu Catch Up and a Nice Walk

Hello friends

I've notices a couple of new followers, welcome.

I did my weekly grocery shop this morning and whilst I was loading the car I noticed a van driving slowly around the car park. A bit sus I thought. But then I saw the sign on the side, DVLA, I suppose they were looking for cars without a current tax disc or MOT.  I didn't know they did that that sort of thing. My car is book for its MOT this Friday (I do hope it passes)

Last week I did my first menu plan and found it quite useful and remembered to get items out of the freezer in the morning so that it could defrost in time for tea/dinner. I have just done another menu plan for the next 12 days but I won't bore you with the details.

Sunday we went for a walk here after seeing Mum's pictures here. Some of our pictures:

I'm afraid I can't take any credit for these photos. M took the first two and L took the last two. I wonder who those shadows belong to? It was a nice day but a bit hazy for picture taking.

Right I'm off to do some more boring chores - ironing.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice day and week.

    1. I wish I could, Jane, but it's sleating at the moment. Some parts of the Uk are still getting snow. Not us though.

    1. Oh yes, we did. It was so nice to get out of the house and into some fresh air, and it wasn't as cold as antisipated.

  3. Lovely photos. We had heavy showers this afternoon, which were enough to soak my almost dry washing whilst I was out :( I've never seen a DVLA van. I once got stopped by the police who said I had no insurance though! I had temporary insurance as I was going to pick our new car up later that day. Apparently temporary insurance doesn't show up on their database, so the policeman wrote all the details on my stop and search notice in case I got stopped again! I was very scared to have a police car behind me signalling me to pull over!

    1. Thank you Maggie.
Time seems to be flying by so fast at the moment I'm having trouble keeping up.

  8. Stuff like that always make me wonder if my car tags are up to date. I let one car slide for 3 months because I never thought to check. Your photos are very nice, haze and all. I think it even contributes to them.

    1. Hi Marti, Welcome. I will pop over to your blogs and have a look.
We used to get reminders from the garage when our MOT was due but since it went computorised we don't get them and it's so easy to forget. I only remember because it's around the time of M's birthday.
      Thank you.
